You Need These 2 IG Accounts If You Want Extreme Growth
If you're a creator on Instagram, you've probably noticed that your post reach and engagements have gone down recently.
Hate to break it to you but the algorithm be algorithm-ing.
But fear not; there's one simple thing can do to change this 😎
Create another account!
The Reasoning 📲
Ever noticed how wacky Instagram can get with our interests? One second, you're just scrolling through something, and bam! It's all over your feed.
It's like, I check out one thing about music editing, and suddenly it's nothing but ads and reels about music editing. Like, come on, I don't need all that!
So I have two Instagram accounts now, so the algorithm doesn’t negatively affect my personal brand reach anymore.
Having two accounts helps ensure the algorithm knows what your account is about and shows your content to the right audience.
When the right people see your content and respond, you get more reach.
Instagram is constantly studying and learning about your interests and behaviors.
They want to know who you follow, what kind of content you consume, and the accounts you interact with.
They want to know everything you do on the app, and they take that information and make recommendations to you and other accounts about you.
Let’s dive into how you should treat each account.
✅ #1 Let Your Main Account Be Your Extremely Intentional Account
It’s easy to forget that the majority of our time is spent consuming content on the platform, not uploading, so the algorithm is actually learning more from your habits than your content.
Don’t shoot yourself in the foot.
The algorithm picks up on what you like and do on the platform and ranks accordingly.
With your main account, make sure to strictly engage with niche-related communities and follow competitors there, as well as other influencers that are related to your niche.
That’s all you should use this account for.
Don't go saving/engaging with posts about food recipes, fancy hotels, trendy clothes, or your pals' dog posts unless that's what your personal monetizable brand is all about.
Intentionally bring focus to your engagement habits and your posting habits and you’ll experience greater reach and more qualified follows.
Because based on the data they learn about your behaviors, they place your content and profile in front of people they believe are related to your behaviors, because just like IRL your behaviors allude to your interests and who you are trying to reach.
If you just randomly like and share stuff, the algorithm thinks you're trying to connect with everybody and anybody, and that's when you end up with followers who don't really care about your stuff.
✅ #2 Create A Strictly Fun Account
If you consume and interact with a lot of random posts, it can confuse the algorithm. It can have a hard time telling what your account is about, what you are actually interested in, and what your purpose on the platform is.
Create a fun account today and follow all of your friends and family, your favorite meme accounts, travel, recipes, and personal interests strictly there.
The truth is that what makes life fun is randomness, so have fun! Follow and engage with it all here.
How to make sure your account is shown to the right audience ⬇️
✔️ Only follow accounts related to your niche.
✔️ Only interact with accounts that inspire your personal brand’s vision and mission and are aligned with what you do and who you serve.
✔️ Consume mostly content related to what you do on your intentional account.
✔️ Be more intentional with your social input and output. Your niche-related audience is waiting to be served by you and your content.
✔️ Still share some personal content on your intentional account, as that humanizes your brand; however, make sure you produce a lot of content that solves real problems for your audience.
