My favorite Canva x IG hack šŸ“² and major platform changes

Iā€™m always looking for great content creation hacks, and this one has to be my favorite!

šŸ‘‰šŸ¾ Uploading Canva fonts to Instagram Stories.

Unique branding is important for creators because it helps to establish their identity and makes them recognizable to their audience.

When itā€™s consistent, this builds trust and credibility with followers and allows influencers to stand out in a crowded market, making it easier for their content to be noticed and shared by potential new community members and brands.

Here's how to do it:

First, you'll need to download the Canva app on your phone if you haven't already.

Once you're in Canva, create a blank design. I typically just go with the Instagram post square size.

Then, depending on the color of my font (white or black), I change the background.

Today, Iā€™m going with a white font, so the background is going to be black so I can see it in the edit.

Then I click the + in left corner and scroll over to ā€œTextā€.

Iā€™m going to intentionally pick a wild font, so thereā€™s no denying it came from Canva šŸ˜‰

I type my text, change my font, add an emoji, and increase the font size.

Then, at the top right corner, I click the download icon and then click ā€œDownloadā€ from the dropdown.

I click PNG under file type, check ā€œTransparent backgroundā€ and then click ā€œDownloadā€.

Then click ā€œCopyā€

Next, open Instagram and create a new Story.

Swipe up from the bottom of the screen to access your camera roll and pick the image or video youā€™re using for your story.

Then tap/hold, and a text line will appear.

Tap/hold again until ā€œPasteā€ shows up, and click ā€œPasteā€

Adjust the size to your liking. When you're done, tap ā€œDoneā€ and upload it to your stories!

and yes, you can catch this on my story this afternoonšŸ˜‚

Super easy!

An important note when picking your fonts for story headlines, text, and Reel covers:

Choose fonts that reflect your brand personality and values.

Generally speaking, sans-serif fonts are often preferred for their modern, clean, and minimalist look, while serif fonts are more traditional and sophisticated.

Display fonts can add a touch of personality and uniqueness to your brand, but they should be used sparingly to avoid overwhelming your design.

Additionally, it's important to choose fonts that are legible and easy to read, especially in smaller sizes.

Ultimately, the best fonts for branding align with your brand identity and message while being appropriate for the medium and audience. Let me know what font you use!
