- my 7 year career highlights
my 7 year career highlights
While I still have 192 things left on my to-do list before the summer is up (including travel…I need a little break from NYC…right now I’m throwing around Upstate, San Diego, or Mexico City)
doing a deep dive into the first part of 2023 and making plans and predictions for what’s left of 2023 isn't one of them.
Already done with that.
I’ve collected every number and metric from my business, plus reflected on my milestones, flops, and how I felt overall about the past 7 years…
I do my best thinking at BUTLER NYC
Here's the fun part ==> I'm going to be sharing it ALL with you.
I couldn't fit it all into one email, so I'm breaking this email up into parts:
PART 1: 2017-2023 Wrap Up: Top 10 Milestones (aka the highlight reel)
PART 2: 2017-2023 Wrap Up: Lessons Learned (aka what sucked)
PART 3: Plans + Predictions for 2023 -2024
Part one drops tomorrow.
In the meantime, have you done a review of your 2023 so far?
If not, here are 3 things you can start with:
Collect the data.
How much have you grown your social channels?
How engaged is your audience now compared to six months ago?
How many partnerships did you land this year?
How much revenue does that total?
How long did it take you, on average, to produce really good content this year?
How did being a digital entrepreneur affect your mental health this year?
Pulling together the most important numbers in your business really helps you get a clear picture of what's working and not working.
You can probably make some significant gains with small tweaks after looking at these metrics.
Reflect on your Top 10 Milestones.
If you think back through the year, what were some of the highlights?
Celebrate your damn self and the progress you've made. Small, consistent steps add up.
Cast a Vision.
What do you want your business to look like on December 31, 2023?
Getting really clear on what that vision is will help you identify the right priorities and projects going into the new year.
If it's not getting you closer to that goal, cut it.
Alright - keep your eyes peeled for an email from me later tomorrow with Part One (and find me on Threads if you have any long-term travel recommendations.! They have to be dog-friendly haha).
